Baking
During the months of January and February, I have done a lot of baking. Here are the treats I made. Cherry pie and cracklin' cookies. Cherry Pie Here is how you make cracklin' cookies: 3 cups ground cracklins' 3 cups brown sugar 3 tsp. baking powder flour 1tsp. salt 1 cup raisins or dates 2 eggs 1/2 cup sour cream 3 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 cup any kind of nuts Cream cracklins', sugar, sour cream, and eggs. Add raisins or dates, nuts, crushed; then add dry ingredients. Add enough flour for a stiff dough, it depends on how greasy your craclins' are. Put in rolls, chill over night. Cut and bake in morning at 350 degrees about 10 minutes. Keep an eye on them; they burn easily. Cracklin' cookie dough One
